The Bridge at Cahersiveen, Oil on Canvas, 93 x 75 cm, (Original Art)
An artwork in oils was formed when visiting the island of Valentia, County Kerry, where the bridge is unused.
To reach the island, one takes a boat from the mainland or drives to the other end of the island where there is a small bridge amongst the fishing vessels.
This is the furthest point west of Europe and was where the original transatlantic cable was laid (after several failed attempts). The scallops there are delicious. The Irish sometimes so.
This was originally valued by Whitepeaks Gallery at £1,000 but escalated to £10,000 when further texture was added at their suggestion. I offer it at £4,900 for the original.
